In mid-March, we successfully put a new ELB BL10 surface grinding machine into operation. This step is part of our ongoing effort to modernize our machinery and further enhance both the quality and efficiency of our production.
The existing equipment from the Italian company Rosa no longer met the current demands for grinding accuracy and quality. Its technical wear had been reducing productivity, and a complete overhaul would have been economically unfeasible. We therefore decided to invest in new machinery.
The new BL10 model from ELB offers high precision, intuitive touchscreen control, and reliable performance when grinding plates for mold frames as well as larger hardened components. We expect that this modernization will significantly improve the accuracy of our molds and tools, leading to increased quality and overall production efficiency.
Although the commissioning process was more demanding, our employees handled it very well, and the grinding machine was integrated into regular production just a few days later. We believe we will soon be able to take full advantage of its potential.
